AppleTVHacks.net threw down the gauntlet of upgrading an Apple TV harddrive, and the challenge was answered, and answered with vigour. They have now published a step by step process for upgrading the default 40gb harddrive in the Apple TV.

Impressive. Most impressive. Now all we need are upgrades for our excuses to watch less TV.
